Who we are

Orbit Dash is made by Lewydo, a two-person independent game studio from Ukraine (Vlad and Lilya). In this policy “we” means Lewydo, “the app” means the Orbit Dash application for Android and iPhone, and “this site” means https://orbitdash.lewydo.com/, including the browser version of the game.

Questions, requests, complaints: support@lewydo.com. We answer in person — there is no support department.

The short version. This website never shows you ads. It counts visits with Google Analytics only if you tap Allow in the small banner — until then, and if you tap Decline, Google Analytics sends nothing and sets no cookies; the fonts and the game itself come from this site (only RANKS, the optional leaderboards, uses other servers — see below). The app is free and pays for itself with ads, so it does share some data with Google (and, on Android, TikTok); everything it shares is listed below. Your game progress lives on your own device (joining RANKS sends your records to our server). Our own server is there only for RANKS, the game's leaderboards. In the app from version 2.3.0, it stores a RANKS profile once you have finished your first counted run and the game has told you so (“YOU'RE ON THE BOARDS” after GAME OVER or in the menu, or the RANKS screen itself if you open it first; in older versions, only after you tap JOIN RANKS); in the browser version (on a phone or a computer) the same way since 1 November 2026 (before that, only if you opened RANKS after playing or tapped JOIN RANKS). You can leave RANKS at any time (see How you get on the boards). The app also downloads public RANKS summaries from it in the background, even if you never open RANKS. If you have joined RANKS, the app also collects the gems your weekly rings have won when you start the game or come back to it, even if you don't open RANKS (see RANKS in the app). The server no longer records your IP address: since 26 October 2026 (18:00 UTC) its request logs are not stored, and the older ones, which do contain IP addresses, are deleted by 26 November 2026 (see How long RANKS data is kept); you can delete your RANKS profile at any time.

This website and the browser version

This site is plain static files on GitHub Pages. We do not run advertising, social widgets or other third-party code here. Fonts, images, sound and the game itself are served from this site, so your browser does not contact anyone else while you read or play — unless you allow Google Analytics (see “Website analytics” below) or open RANKS in the game (see below).

Website analytics (Google Analytics)

To see how many people play Orbit Dash in the browser and which parts of the game they enjoy, this site can use Google Analytics 4 (run by Google). It is off until you choose: a small banner asks “Can we count visits with Google Analytics?”. Before you answer, and if you tap Decline, Google Analytics is not loaded at all — no request goes to Google and no cookie is set. Only if you tap Allow does your browser load Google's script (googletagmanager.com) and send visit data to google-analytics.com.

This is the website's own analytics. The apps' analytics are separate and are described in their own section below (one policy, a separate section per platform).

The Android app

You do not need an account to play, and the app does not ask for your name, e-mail, photos, contacts, files or location. Your saved game — scores, gems, skins, upgrades, daily missions, level progress — is stored on your device; we see none of it unless you join RANKS, which sends your records and your orb from it. The app contacts our own server only for RANKS: it downloads the public boards when you open them and, about once a day in the background, a short summary of them, even if you never open RANKS. The summary it asks for is the world's and that of the country your phone's region and language settings suggest (or the one shown on the JOIN RANKS screen, once you have opened it) — that country is the only thing these downloads say about you, and since 26 October 2026 (18:00 UTC) the server no longer logs them with your IP address. A RANKS profile is stored only once you are on RANKS: from version 2.3.0 the game puts you there by itself after your first counted run, right after telling you so (“YOU'RE ON THE BOARDS” after GAME OVER or in the menu, or the RANKS screen itself if you open it first); in older versions, only if you tap JOIN RANKS (see How you get on the boards). If you have joined RANKS, the app also collects from our server the gems your weekly rings have won when you start the game or come back to it after at least 30 seconds away, even if you don't open RANKS; it sends this request only when it knows that gems are waiting for you.

What the app does send is handled by the SDKs below. Each is run by the company named, under that company's own privacy policy, and each may process a device or advertising identifier.

ServiceWhat it is forPolicy
Google AdMobShows the ads that keep the game free: a banner, rewarded ads you choose to watch, and an ad when you open the game or come back to it. Uses the advertising ID to limit repeats and measure ads.AdMob · Google
Google AdMob / UMPIn the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, shows the consent form before personalised ads and records your answer.Consent
Unity Ads (via AdMob mediation)One of the ad networks AdMob asks for an ad, so the same banner and rewarded ads can come from Unity. It follows your answer in the consent form and uses the advertising ID like AdMob.Unity
Firebase AnalyticsGameplay events — a run started or ended (with its score, gems and sparks, whether it was a new best, and the range your best score falls in), a level finished, a screen opened — and how RANKS is used: RANKS opened, joined or a profile deleted, a report sent and its kind (name or score), an orb or anthem chosen. Also a tap on SHARE THE GAME, though not whether you sent anything (the share sheet is your phone's), and the label on the Google Play link you installed from, if it had one: Firebase reads it from Google Play's install referrer, and it says where the link was published, such as a video or the share button, not who you are. This shows us which parts of the game work and where new players come from. Events are linked to random IDs of your installation, not to your RANKS profile; your RANKS nickname, country and account identifiers, and the players you report, are never sent.Firebase
Firebase CrashlyticsCrash and error reports: what broke, on which device and Android version, the screen, game mode, level and attempt you were on, and a short list of what happened just before it — the names of the latest Firebase Analytics events, plus two notes kept only here, with their details: a level continued with a revive (which attempt, how many revives and from how far into the level) and a reward doubled (where, and the gems added).Firebase
Firebase Remote ConfigLets us change settings (such as how often ads appear) without shipping an update.Firebase
Firebase Cloud MessagingOptional notifications. Android asks for your permission first, and the game works fully without it.Firebase
Google Play GamesLeaderboards. Only if you sign in — then your Play Games profile name and your score appear in the public ranking. RANKS also uses your Play Games sign-in to confirm who you are, and its name can be your RANKS nickname (see RANKS in the app).Google
Firebase App Check (Play Integrity)Only when the game talks to the RANKS server: checks that requests come from the genuine app on a real device, to keep the boards fair.Firebase
Google Play BillingHandles in-app purchases (Remove Ads). Payment details go to Google; we never see your card.Google
Google Play In-App ReviewShows the Play Store's own rating prompt inside the game.Google
TikTok Business SDKMeasures whether an install came from one of our TikTok posts or ads, so we know what is worth making. Sends install and basic in-game events with a device/advertising identifier. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it runs only if you consent to it in the consent form.TikTok

The app asks Android for these permissions: Internet (ads, leaderboards, reports), Vibrate (the game's haptics, which you can switch off in Settings), Notifications (optional, you are asked) and the advertising ID (ads and attribution).

The iPhone app

The iPhone app works the same way: no account, and your saved game stays on your device (joining RANKS sends your records from it, as on Android). It contains fewer third-party services than the Android app:

RANKS also uses your Game Center sign-in to confirm who you are, and its name can be your RANKS nickname (see RANKS in the app).Apple

Daily reminders on iPhone are scheduled on the device itself; other notifications, if you allow them, arrive through Firebase Cloud Messaging (Apple Push Notification service). Nothing about them is sent to our own server.

RANKS in the app (Android and iPhone)

RANKS are the game's own leaderboards: weekly and all-time boards for your country and the world. You can look at the boards without being on them — the game downloads them as public files that carry nothing about you beyond which board you ask for. Even if you never open RANKS, the app downloads a short public summary of the world's boards and of the country your phone's region and language settings suggest (or the one shown on the JOIN RANKS screen, once you have opened it), in the background and about once a day, so that it can invite you to RANKS after GAME OVER. Apart from that suggested country, these downloads carry nothing about you, and since 26 October 2026 (18:00 UTC) the server no longer logs them with your IP address (see How long RANKS data is kept).

How you get on the boards. From version 2.3.0 of the app, the game puts you on the RANKS boards by itself after your first counted run (an endless run or a level attempt; the tutorial, practice and AUTOPLAY don't count). It tells you first: “YOU'RE ON THE BOARDS” appears after GAME OVER or as a short message in the menu — or, if you open RANKS before that, the RANKS screen itself shows you on the boards. Only after that does our server create your RANKS profile and start receiving your runs. Your nickname is your Google Play Games or Game Center name when the game may use it, and a generated name otherwise (see “Your nickname” below). In older versions of the app, you get a profile only if you tap JOIN RANKS, and you can tap it in any version. In this policy, “joining” RANKS means getting a profile either way.

Leaving the boards. You can leave at any time with RANKS → ⓘ → DELETE MY RANKS PROFILE. Your profile is deleted (see Deleting your RANKS profile), and the game on that device no longer adds you by itself — only tapping JOIN RANKS brings you back. The same happens on any device once it learns that your profile was deleted in another way (from another device with the same Google Play Games or Game Center account, at your request by email, or by us). The game keeps this choice in its data on your device: if you reinstall it or clear its data, it can add you again after your next counted run, again only after telling you so first (see above).

What our server stores when you join:

Who sees it: your nickname, country flag (unless hidden), orb, results, rings and HONORS are shown to all players on the boards and on your player card. Your account codes, installation IDs and reports are never shown.

Why: what our server stores is used only to run RANKS and keep them fair. Legal bases: if the game put you on the boards by itself (in the app or in the browser version), our legitimate interest in running public leaderboards for everyone who plays (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) — the boards show only a game name, a country flag, an orb and game results, never your contact details or account IDs, and you can leave at any time (see How you get on the boards); if you tapped JOIN RANKS, performance of the feature you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b)). For everyone on RANKS, our legitimate interest in preventing cheating and in keeping the server secure and working is also a basis, and it is the basis for the server's logs (Art. 6(1)(f)). Your RANKS profile is not used for ads, and your RANKS nickname, country and identifiers, and the players you report, are never sent to analytics. The app's own analytics is separate: on Android, Firebase Analytics receives the game's gameplay events — including the score, gems and sparks of every run, whether or not you join RANKS — and counts how RANKS is used, linked to random IDs of your installation rather than to your RANKS profile (see The Android app).

Where: on our RANKS server, which runs on Google Cloud / Firebase (Firestore and Cloud Functions in the europe-west1 region, Belgium); the public board files are delivered through Firebase Hosting's content delivery network. Google processes this data for us under its data processing terms.

Fair play and moderation. Any player can report a nickname or an unfair score (tap a player → REPORT); the reported player is hidden on the reporter's device at once. Reports from established players are counted automatically: after enough independent reports, an offensive nickname is replaced with a generated name for everyone, and a suspicious score is hidden from the boards until it no longer looks suspicious. Accounts caught cheating can be blocked.

How long RANKS data is kept

DataKept
Your RANKS profileUntil you delete it, or until 24 months pass without you using RANKS — then it is deleted automatically.
Weekly final results8 weeks.
Automatic moderation records90 days. They name the profile's public player ID and what was checked or changed: a run's score, gems, sparks and duration, the best score from your saved game, a nickname replaced after reports, or your run summary.
Server logs30 days. Our own log lines contain no IP addresses or tokens. Google Cloud's standard request logs, which recorded each request to the RANKS server with its time, address, result, IP address and app or browser version — also when you only looked at the boards, and the app's background downloads of the board summaries — are no longer stored since 26 October 2026 (18:00 UTC); entries from before then are deleted after 30 days, by 26 November 2026.
Block for cheatingNo time limit, but only the one-way account code — to stop the same account from coming back.
Your IP addressNever stored in your profile or our database, and not in the server's request logs since 26 October 2026 (18:00 UTC); request logs from before then, which do contain it, are deleted after 30 days, by 26 November 2026.

Deleting your RANKS profile

You can delete your RANKS profile, and the data linked to it, at any time.

What happens then:

Your choices

Children

Orbit Dash is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age your country sets). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, write to support@lewydo.com and we will delete what we can and ask our providers to do the same.

How long data is kept

The only database of our own is the RANKS server; how long it keeps data is described in How long RANKS data is kept (the browser version's RANKS work the same way). Analytics and crash data are kept by Google for the retention period set in our Firebase / Google Analytics project: analytics events (from the app and, if you allowed it, from this website) for 2 months, the random analytics ID up to 14 months after the last activity, crash reports for a shorter time; TikTok keeps attribution data under its own policy. Your game progress stays on your device for as long as the app or the browser data is there.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EEA/UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising in the CCPA sense beyond the ad personalisation you can switch off as described above.

To exercise any right, write to support@lewydo.com. For RANKS, tell us your nickname, country flag and platform, and we can send you a copy of your RANKS profile or delete it. Other app data is held by our providers, not by us, so we will usually need you to tell us which device and roughly when you played so we can pass a request on to the provider. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers and security

Our providers are global companies and may process data outside your country, including outside the EEA, using the transfer safeguards described in their policies (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses). All traffic from the app and this site uses encrypted connections.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove a service, we update this page and the date at the top before the change ships. Material changes are described here; the previous wording is available on request.

6 November 2026: this site moved to its own address, https://orbitdash.lewydo.com/ (the old address, roshevasternin.github.io/Game-Orbit-Dash, now forwards here), and our contact address is now support@lewydo.com. Browsers keep each site's data separately, so the browser version starts afresh at the new address (progress, language, your analytics choice); a browser RANKS profile from the old address can be brought here with its recovery code or deleted by writing to us (see Deleting your RANKS profile). Nothing else about what we collect has changed.

30 October 2026: RANKS now puts players on the boards automatically — in the app from version 2.3.0 after the first counted run and the notice “YOU'RE ON THE BOARDS”, in the browser version when you open RANKS after playing — and you can leave at any time with RANKS → ⓘ → DELETE MY RANKS PROFILE; the legal basis for this is our legitimate interest (see How you get on the boards). Before this change (and in older versions of the app), a RANKS profile was created only when you tapped JOIN RANKS.
